Pet-nat, but not as we know it, the Fresa Fresca (fresh strawberry) is an excitingly unique wine from the creative duo at Somos.
Utilising three branches of the Pinot mutation tree, each grape was fermented on its on its own, before being blended together with a little kick of frozen grape juice, and put in bottle to do the pet-nat thing.
And the end result? It delivers just what you’d expect, Pinot cherries, strawberries, and really, just a super fruit driven sparkling rose that is fresh AF. This wine encapsulates what we really love about the Somos wines; an expression of free-thought, and rule-bending creativity, in a wine that is well-made, clean, and quite simply, delicious.
