The ‘Art Series’ wines are Leeuwin Estate’s flagships. The Cabernet Sauvignon is a firmly established member of Margaret River’s -- and Australia’s -- Cabernet elite. It has been Langton’s Classified since 1990. The wine usually includes a small proportion of Malbec (less than 5%). It is noted for its purity and elegance, and for the way it combines these ‘lighter’ qualities with density and concentration. It is made (predominantly) from some of Margaret River’s oldest Cabernet vineyards, planted in 1975 and 1976 on sites selected by founder Denis Horgan and his adviser, California’s Robert Mondavi.
