80% Merlot topped up with 20% Semillon from Jeff's organically farmed vineyard in Vine Vale, east of the Barossa. Merlot is way too often an underestimated grape, and this is the proof. Elegant and pretty, this wine is generous in fruit expression, yet lifted and crunchy. Beautifully rounded in the palate and never heavy. A week of carbonic maceration, the aim was to gently extract colour and aromatics, preserving the intense fruit expression of the variety. Aged in old French barrels, the wine was bottled without any addition. True, Raw and honest.
