Young and pretty, bright and handsome, our early-release charmer built for flavour and freshness. For us, that’s when Nebbiolo looks its most charming. Dripping with sour cherries, in layers of baking spice, showing off its signature dusty grip. In a crusade to see Nebbiolo flourish outside of its native Italian north, this cuts through our quizzical fog like a sunbeam. With a uniquely Australian slant, the world’s most elusive and captivating varietal (our king of grapes) was hidden in plain sight in the Adelaide Hills. 2021 sees us seeking out high-toned primary flavour, pressing off a month earlier than ever to a giant wooden cask for 5 months. It encapsulates spring blossoms with a dusting of warm spice. All the flavours before the leather of summer creeps in.
